How to whitelist domain in zimbra mail server


In this tutorial we will show you how to whitelist domain in zimbra mail server. Using whitelist method you can prevent your friend or customer mail sent in junk folder. We can whitelist all mail by domain or single email address.

This article assumes you have at least basic knowledge of linux and zimbra mail service, know how to use the shell, root user or non-root user account with sudo privileges set up on your server.


For example we will whitelist domain

PS : some zimbra version we must edit file using root account

Login to your server as root and change to zimbra user

Edit this file /opt/zimbra/conf/

Find soft-blacklisting and add the whitelist domain like below (usually in line 272)

you need to set the number to -10.0 for whitelist

Restart Amavis Service

we need to restart amavis service to apply the change, still using zimbra account

    Hi, please help. By mistake I edited /opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf instead of /opt/zimbra/conf/ Now Zimbra won’t start. Please help, any guideline is greatly appreciated.
